Starforged Solo: Session Zero

A few preparatory notes that serve as a preface to the campaign.

Paths

Zaramirra Wolfe is an exobiologist. Her starting paths are Lorehunter and Naturalist. She also has a trusted survey bot that she calls Ria.

A Little Backstory

For as long as she can remember, Zaramirra has been on her own, or mostly on her own. Her parents were explorers by trade. As a child, she would accompany them on missions across the Forge. But something happened around her tenth birthday. They told her that it was no longer safe for her to travel by their side. They left her with a close family friend, a man by the name of Roku Wade, entrusting him with her upbringing. Throughout her teenage years, Zaramirra received intermittent and fragmented messages from her parents. Some of the messages arriving from as far away as the outer expanse. One day, the messages ceased, and there has been no news since. After that, she lost herself in her own pursuits, learning much as an apprentice to her mentor Roku Wade. She has become an explorer in her own right, but does not go looking for her lost parents. She is more fascinated and intrigued by the nature of the universe. She knows that there is underlying chaos to all things, a force she believes has some connection to the destruction of her ancestral home world. A force that has yet to be properly documented or explained. She would much rather try to explain the inner workings of the Forge than try to piece together her broken lineage.

Background Vow: I vow to discover the truth about chaos that destroyed my ancestral home, and now threatens to disturb the Forge.

Starship

Zaramirra’s starship is called The Phantom. She inherited it from her former guardian and mentor, Roku Wade. The ship is covered in strange and indecipherable symbols. Roku Wade was always vague about their origins and meaning. There are several discreet and removable bulkheads for hidden storage. These secret compartments have come in handy when the situation deems it necessary to hide things from the Keepers or other agents of the Covenant.

He employs a large handful of workers on the farm, most of whom follow him ardently, as though he were a religious figure.

Inciting incident: a large Balefire surge on the planet Demeter recently erupted. The surge uncovered a massive alien tech site in the northern tundra. News of the discovery has spread, attracting the attention of the Covenant and their Keepers. Zaramirra is determined to get to the site for samples of the storm and alien craft before the Covenant covers it up or destroys it.
